Bram and the Yellow Ball

Bram the lamb held Papa's leg. His feet stayed close. His face pressed against Papa's coat.

A yellow ball rolled across the grass. The children sat in a ring. Bram peeped out. His hoof reached toward the ball.

“Here!” called a rabbit. “Here!” called a mouse. Their voices came together. Bram pulled his hoof back.

His ears went low. Bram looked at their faces. His hoof held Papa's coat.
