Paws Say Hello Too

Nico stood in the yard. He had never met a dog before. Next door's gate was open. Biscuit ran fast, straight at him. Big paws. A wet nose. Biscuit jumped up. He licked Nico's cheek. Nico did not see it coming.
Nico froze. His arms went stiff. He turned his head away.
"I am scared," Nico said.
Mama knelt beside him. She held his hand. "Stay with me," she said.
