Watch and Wait, Little Nose

Nell the little rabbit sat beside Mama. Her baby brother lay in Mama's arms. Nell leaned against her soft fur.

The baby was new. Mama held him a lot. Nell pulled at Mama's arm. “Sit close, Nell,” said Mama.

Her brother's little nose moved. Nell sat up. Her paws bounced on her knees. She reached for his nose.

Nell gave it a poke. His head jerked back. He began to cry. Nell's paws stopped.
